Rows of coin-operated washers and dryers in a shared building laundry room

Service Details

Yes, we repair in-unit washers and dryers as well as the machines in shared building laundry rooms, including stacked units and coin- or card-operated equipment. A dead laundry room generates complaints from every line in the building, so these calls are scheduled quickly and several machines can be handled in one visit.

Washers fail on drain pumps, door locks, worn belts, and unbalanced drums. Dryers fail on heating elements, thermal fuses, and, most often, restricted venting that nobody has cleared in years. A dryer that takes three cycles to dry a load is usually a venting problem, not a broken dryer.

Dryer venting is a fire-safety matter, not a convenience issue: NYC Mechanical Code §504.9 governs how these ducts must be run and terminated. We inspect the vent run as part of a dryer repair and tell you plainly when the duct, rather than the machine, is the fault.

Questions Property Managers Ask First

4

Our dryers take forever to dry. Is that a machine fault?

Usually not. Long dry times almost always mean a restricted or badly run vent duct. We inspect the vent run before condemning the machine, because replacing the dryer will not fix a blocked duct.

Do you service coin-operated and card-operated machines?

Yes. We repair the machines themselves, the payment hardware is usually the vendor's, and we will tell you which side of the line a given fault falls on.

Can you handle a whole laundry room at once?

Yes, and it is the efficient way to do it. Give us the list of machines that are down and we will work the room in one scheduled visit on one invoice.

Is dryer venting something you can actually correct?

We inspect and clear the vent run and identify where it does not meet NYC Mechanical Code §504.9. Where a duct has to be rerouted rather than cleared, we will document what is required.
