Service Details

Yes, we repair in-unit dishwashers and garbage disposals across NYC apartment buildings. These are the two appliances most likely to turn into a water-damage claim, so we treat a reported leak as urgent, trace it to the actual source, and document what failed.

Dishwasher calls are usually a door gasket, a drain pump, a blocked air gap, or an inlet valve that no longer closes. Disposals are usually a jam, a failed splash baffle, or a seized motor. Both sit under a cabinet next to a neighbour's ceiling, which is why a slow drip gets diagnosed rather than wiped up.

We check the drain line and the connection under the sink as part of the repair, because a dishwasher that runs but drains into a cabinet will be back as a bigger work order. Every visit is closed out with the fault found and the parts replaced.

What This Service Includes

  • Leaks traced to the source, not just dried and closed
  • Drain pumps, inlet valves, gaskets and air gaps
  • Jammed, leaking and seized garbage disposals
  • Under-sink connection and drain line checked on every visit
  • Access scheduled with your super, invoiced per building

Questions Property Managers Ask First

4

A tenant reports water under the dishwasher. Is that urgent?

Treat it as urgent and so will we. Water under a dishwasher travels into the cabinet base and the ceiling below, which turns a small repair into a multi-unit claim.

Do you replace a disposal or try to clear it first?

We clear it first. Most disposals reported as dead are jammed rather than failed, and a jam is a short visit. If the motor is seized we will tell you before replacing anything.

Can you check whether the dishwasher caused damage below?

We can identify and document the leak source and where the water went, which is what an insurer or owner will ask for. Restoration work itself is not what we do.

Do you service portable and older built-in machines?

Yes. Older built-in machines are common in rental stock and parts are usually still available; we will tell you if a specific model has become unsupportable.

Tell us what stopped working and we'll send a technician. A dispatcher will call you back to confirm an access window.

A picture of the appliance, its data plate or the error code is how the technician knows which part to bring. Up to 3 photos.
